Collective Investment Schemes
A collective investment scheme is where a pool of monies are invested into a fund (Fund) by investors (unitholders) with similar investment objective. The fund is managed by fund managers and invested in a diversified portfolio of securities and other assets.
The Trustee protects the interest of the unitholders by ensuring that the fund is managed and invested in accordance to what is indicated in the Trust Deed and hold the assets of the Fund.
Corporate Trust
We act as trustee for various investment instruments such as conventional bonds, Islamic Sukuk and real estate investment trusts (REITs) amongst others. As required by the Securities Commission, a Trustee is appointed to safeguard the interest of the bondholders or investors of these investment instruments.
Employee Retirement Schemes
It is a retirement fund set up by a Company for its employees based on the employee’s length of service to the company and the employee's salary history.

Employee Share Option Schemes (‘ESOS’)
A scheme where the employees are given the option(s) to purchase the Company shares at a certain price, upon completing a number of years in the company. An example of the Trustee’s role is to hold the shares and transfer the shares to the eligible employee at a discount.
E-Payment/E-Monies
It is a payment instrument that contains monetary value that is paid in advance by the user to the e-money operator. The user of the e-money is able to purchase goods and services from merchants who accept e-money as payment.
A trustee is required to hold the moneys paid by the users in a trust account and to ensure the moneys are used for refund to the users and payment to the merchants.
Executor/Administrator of Estates
The executor or administrator of an estate would be required to administer the estate and to ensure all liabilities are fully settled and the assets are transferred to the beneficiaries of the estate. This is an arduous task which involves locating the assets, liaising with the beneficiaries, obtaining the grant of probate or letters of administration, settlement of the deceased’s liabilities and transfer of assets to the beneficiaries.
Estate Administration Fees
1.5% of the value of estate (subject to a minimum of RM10,000 per annum) per annum.
